Is this a pearl i found?

I found a very shiny, purple and white "pearl" on Huntington Beach California. Im not even sure if it is a pearl because i did not find it in an oyster shell. I found it in the sand not far from shore. It wasn't even wet. I don't think it can be a marble because of the small scratch on the side that goes through the first layer. Please help me out i have never heard of pearls being found out of their oyster and on Huntington Beach.
