Updo/hairideas?

im going to a formal rotc ball/banquet with my boyfriend next weekend, im getting my hair done in a salon, but i don't know how i want them to do it. my dress is a satin strapless knee length and it is sort of a muted gold color but not metallic. i have dark brown hair that is abour 2 inches below my shoulder, and i have side bangs a side part and layers. pictures please because i want to show my hairstylist a picture of what i want. the style will have to last a long time too because i will be at this thing from 430-11pm and there is a homecoming like dance from 8-11.
