Why is creationism a legitimate cause in America and isn't in most other first world country?

Because unlike other first world countries, we don't practice the separation of church and state like we should. I happen to believe in creationism because of my faith, because it is FAITH-BASED. But it shouldn't be taught as truth, only as theological theory, because there is NO PROOF.
