I was never Christened into any religion as a child and i'm feeling a little blah?

about life at the moment. How would I go about finding out which religion could be for me? Also I had to do a mega ignment for uni on Science vs Religion > Creationism vs Evolution and it's mashed my mind..I did once shout up to the sky and ask god for a sign that someone cared about me and the next thing I knew my phone was ringing and it was a guy I was dating at the time. He turned out to be a lying pillock who already lived with a woman so what kind of sign that was meant to be has me beat unless him above has a sarcastic sense of humor and was taking the mess...Oh Jesus i'm sooooo lost someone put me on the right path please :)
