Why is this guy is confusing me?

He is a good friend of my but i like him. His name is kyle. Idk if he likes me, this is where i need your help. He sits with me on the bus most days but some he will sit with Monica but he will still talk to me. He always calls me just to ask for homework, im pretty sure he knows what it is since it is always the next page in the book. But then one time this boy jack was talking to him about the "rate 1-10" of different girls when i was standing with them. Jack said after a couple minutes "oh sorry, i bet jess is getting angry about this" and jack said" no its ok she doesnt care". does that mean he only thinks of me as a friend? Today he was trying to make an excuse to come to my house and i totally didnt catch it untill after i left so i didnt invite him over. He needed a camera and asked if he could borow mine. I said sure, and he went back and forth about how it was really far away to walk (btw this was on the bus) and i think he was hinting that he just wanted to get off at my stop. Then i told him that you can take pictures on a video camera but he kept saying it would be too hard and still wanted to use mine. UGH can anyone decipher his moves??!?!?!?!
